Anyone Using the LotusScript Symphony Toolkit?

In this month’s Lotus Developer Tips Newsletter, I wrote about using the Lotus Symphony Toolkit extract data from Lotus Notes to Symphony (Spreadsheets in Part I) via LotusScript.

I’ve been working a lot lately with the toolkit and just started wondering who else (if anyone) is using this?

Why or why not?

Thanks for your input!

I used it for a project last year… it was pretty easy to work with, with one exception: watch out for threaded operations (like save and replace all), since LotusScript isn’t threaded. I found that with large enough documents (more than a couple pages), I had to force a delay between a threaded operation and subsequent calls that relied upon the completion of that operation; for example, you can’t just save a document, then email it… since the save isn’t complete yet, you’re emailing a partial file.

We are using it in the OpenNTF Contacts Experience for everything we can. Stuff like labels isnt in the toolkit yet. It is a great 1.0 toolkit. Need a lot more time and maturity for sure.

Hi, I have written a Wrapper Class for spreadsheets and wordprocessors and classes for 1-2-3 and MS Office and would like to add a symphony class. But due to the lack of information about Lotusscript & Symphony I’m not happy with it. Got the overview of Lotus Symphony Document Lotusscript Classes, some published samples from the internet, but where can I get a desription of the Symphony classes, their methods, properties and method parameters ? I have created a wrapper class for spreadsheets in MS Office and
